ERP Systems
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are business process management software that allows organizations to use a system of integrated applications to manage and automate many parts of the business. These systems help with all aspects of running a business from accounting to filling and shipping orders. Some common ERP's are SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and Odoo. They improve internal business processes in many ways. These systems can manage inventory, planning and scheduling, human capital management, integrated customer relationship management, and simplified reporting (SelectHub). By using an ERP, doing all of these tasks makes managing the business easier and more efficient. Knowing when inventory is brought in and sent out, scheduling who should be working at a specific time and where to maximize production, and ease of generating reports are all very important to any business so having an ERP system can give ease of mind to managers when they have to regulate all of these factors since everything is automated. Also, since everything is automated and easily accessible, this allows sharing information or accessing it from different locations to be easier. There is a lot to keep track of in a business so having an ERP system can improve an organization's internal business processes.
